OSP Sector
OSP Department has been established in the year 1998 with the strength of just 76 persons.
The main purpose for the establishment of the Dept is to build up and the upgradation of Networks for the clients especially STC, MODA, SEC and later Mobily which was very much appreciated by the clients.
Total number of staff presently working for the Department is 350 including key personnels.
The Department is headed by Sector Head followed by Department Managers for STC Construction, Mobily Construction, Coordination & Management followed by Section Head and Project Managers for the following projects.
STS Construction + FTTH : Gassim, Hail, North Border, Riyadh District, Riyadh, Al Jouf
Mobily Metro & Access: Riyadh, Hofuf, Qassim and Hail.
The total number of Site Engineers assigned for each project are 12 apart from 10 Site Supervisors, 40 Site Foremens, 28 Copper Cable Jointers,36 Machine Operators, More than 100 Skilled labors.
The achieved number of projects are more than 151 almost all over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia including Riyadh, Riyadh District, Gassim, Hail, ARAR, Al Jouf and Hofuf.
The main activity of the Department is the construction of New Outside Telecom Network, Upgradation of the Existing Network, repair and installation of the Network, and the Network preventive maintenance.
The Key projects of OSP Department are as follows:
a) STC Construction Project
b) Mobily Construction Project.
c) STC FTTH Project.
The projects are located at Riyadh, Riyadh District, Gassim, Hail, ARAR, Al Jouf and Hofuf.
The scope of work for the construction project includes:
1. Preliminary survey in order to indentify the route map.
2. Once the routes are confirmed by Cllient, The final survey is conducted.
3. Detail design will be prepared and submitted to client for approval.
4. Digging trenches in the same path specified after prepare the permit as per spec
5. Installation of duct in concrete encasement as per spec
6. Place detectable warning tape at 15cm below the surface of asphalt level for future duct detection
7. Asphalting preparation (putting of MC1) 24 hours before.
8. Putting of RC2 at the edges of trench and in the trench.
9. Putting the final asphalt after the milling with distance from both sides
